Collection Thirteen — Belonging

Needing to belong is part of being human. The last year of social isolation for communities around the world has had a significant impact on the way we connect with our whānau and friends. We got our community to share their stories about a time or place they felt they belonged.

MMM collaborated with Auckland's Central City Library at their Speak Auckland event in June 2021 to engage the community with our MMM Post-box, Tell-a-phone and creative workshops, asking them to share their stories about community and belonging. The submissions you see here are a collection of these stories, visualised by Bianca and Andrea Mendoza.

Belonging is part of the Community Series.
