LISTENING TO DATA

What does wellbeing sound like?

Listening to Data was a workshop that took place at the 'Connections in Action — Design for Health Symposium 2022'. Participants were invited to respond to the prompt "What does wellbeing sound like?"

About the processing of the data

Individual audio recordings were reviewed and edited to select specific sounds representative of the overall recording. The individual sound clips were arranged using ProTools software to create the final site composition. Each sound was allocated to its own audio track and may have been ‘looped’, or had ‘effects’ applied. The effects used were reverb and delay (to create atmosphere but to try and maintain the original intent and authenticity of the original recorded sound). The final composition was output heard as a wave file and then compressed using an audio mastering plugin. All individual sounds recorded were included in the final composition.
